How green are you?

The Earth is asking for help, asking us to stop and see what is going on around us.

The environmental crisis that is taking part in our planet is something that we as Human beings are responsible for. We learn throughout the years that living in this planet means to take care of it for future generations and for us. We learn this in schools, television, internet, the radio, our parents, grandparents, friends, in fact, we learn about this everywhere. But how green are we?

Nowadays there are many environmentally friendly practices around the world, each country, each city, each community has its own movement to look after our beautiful planet. But most of the time, we are too busy to realize about this.

A movement that is taking an important part in our culture, is recycling, which is to categorize waste in a more proper or correct way in order to protect our environment. Though this practice is one of the best movements ever started to protect the Earth. There is many people that is no acquainted to it, and I include myself in it, not for ignorance, but for lack of time.

Another movement or to be more precise, a new life style that is taking part nowadays in our culture, is the use of echo-friendly means of transport such as bicycles, electric cars, or solar energy cars. The problem of it, is that they are still not really accessible for all public, in fact, when talking about alternative cars, we know they are quite expensive. On the other hand, bicycles are really cheap, and the only energy they use is ours, which both good for our health and our planet. For me this practice or this new life style is not really an option, first because having an alternative car is really out of my mind in terms on economical basis, and a bike for medical problems is not an option, as I have anemia, which is a medical condition which is not really easy to threat, and affect my physical condition. But there is not all lost after all, because I still can use my legs and avoid using public transportation, or even using public transportation is a way to contribute, because using public transportation means you don't have to get a car.

Though I really feel the need to be more green, more echo-friendly. I haven't taken part into any organization. The reasons is as simple as laziness. But in any time soon I will be supporting a echo-friendly organization. This is something I really would like to do in the future.
