My ideal job

I haven't thought much about what my ideal job could be, but if I give it a try, I would totally opt to work as an illustrator. Why? Simple, this is the kind of job which links in perfect harmony my hobby which are all things related with arts, but to be more specific, drawing and painting are the main ones. And moreover the way I like to live my life. Because working as an illustrator doesn't demand to be surrounded by people, or rushing to get to a place on time, which are the things that I hate the most and what is more important it allows me to be more reflexive with my own work.

To become an illustrator is not an easy task, they really must master many different skills. Illustrators are people who not only have to be creative in order to be original with their work, but also they have to be good at drawing, because this is the way they express their work, which is the final product after all, and in order to do so, they really have to know how composition and colours  must match together to form the perfect combination to narrate the story behind.

Besides, an illustrator must be innovative while doing his work, specially nowadays, where we have many different tools to make our work better. As for example, we can work with computers, scanners, tablets,  and different programs and applications, which give us multiple opportunities to explode our capacities to the limit.

In a nutshell, working as an illustrator would be the coolest thing I can image, but it is far away from reality, because, to find the appropriate job opportunity it is quite difficult, the area is full with people who have been working there for quite a long time, and incorporate new people is way too difficult because new people do not have the experience of those who have worked in the area for years. So, I can only dream about it for now, but maybe in a distant future, this might become more realistic than now.

  2. I'm sure you'll be the artist you want to be some day! you just have to get out of that theatre school. Don't worry, some way or another you'll be an illustrator.
