The best song ever!

Yesterday night I was searching for a new songs on Youtube because my playlist was getting a little bit old and that's boring and it affects my routine because listening to music makes my day more tolerable or light, and if my playlist get old, sad, repetitive or invariable, my week becomes more difficult and slow, so that's why I need music as I need air.

When I was searching for new music, I found a song that stuck in my mind. Today when I was on the way to college, my mind was singing this song, it's called "Little talks" and belongs to the group Of Monsters and Men.

When I found the song the first time, I don't only like it because of the lyrics, but also for the video, and the music. But the video was the one that caught my attention first, for the aesthetic. The video starts with some images that seem to be drawn, like illustration in dark, it seems like the video was composed by different drawings all of them put in order from the foreground to background, but then a girl appears and she is the only one with colours, that makes a good contrast with the space which is all in black and white, and in this moment (when the girl shows up) you can understand that it is not a simple draw, it's more like a sort of animated video. I liked how they incorporate different scales, because I like things when they don't try to recreate reality, I like when people create without prejudices or limits, I don't find joy in making things follow the common standards or criteria, that is very restrictive! I have the idea that if you want to create something new, you must abandon for a moment the things already once known and search for new parameters.

The mystery of travelling

If I you ask me about a place I would like to visit, I would have to admit that I haven’t thought about it yet. But it isn't because I don’t care about travelling and these kinds of things; in fact it is quite the opposite. Travelling is an adventure that is always flying inside my mind. Further from our borders we can find people, cultures, places and experiences that are outside our thoughts, even out of our dreams! And that idea makes me shiver, in a good way, of course.

According to this sort of definition about travelling, with all the mystery behind it, I would totally choose Egypt. Simple because is a country that can mix the entire alternatives in matter of travelling.

Egypt is a place with a lot of mystery. Mummies, lost cities, the entire story behind years of civilizations and wars and Pharaohs, the way how they dealt with dead and life, and their beliefs or convictions about that, all the messages contained in the hieroglyphics, and more, are things that attract me in a way I cannot explain, the mystery behind this country is infinite.

If I make it to this country, I would like to take lots of tours, I would like to visit the most important pyramids, in special I would like to visit “The Underwater Cleopatra’s Palace”, which is located in the Mediterranean coast of Egypt. Furthermore I don’t think Egypt is a country that I would like to stay to live or work, because I don’t think this country can offer me all the conditions that I need to live in a place, or to work there as well. Besides, all the people that I love and that I want them to be with me, are not there, so basically Egypt is just a country to visit once or twice.

My ideal job

I haven't thought much about what my ideal job could be, but if I give it a try, I would totally opt to work as an illustrator. Why? Simple, this is the kind of job which links in perfect harmony my hobby which are all things related with arts, but to be more specific, drawing and painting are the main ones. And moreover the way I like to live my life. Because working as an illustrator doesn't demand to be surrounded by people, or rushing to get to a place on time, which are the things that I hate the most and what is more important it allows me to be more reflexive with my own work.

To become an illustrator is not an easy task, they really must master many different skills. Illustrators are people who not only have to be creative in order to be original with their work, but also they have to be good at drawing, because this is the way they express their work, which is the final product after all, and in order to do so, they really have to know how composition and colours  must match together to form the perfect combination to narrate the story behind.

Besides, an illustrator must be innovative while doing his work, specially nowadays, where we have many different tools to make our work better. As for example, we can work with computers, scanners, tablets,  and different programs and applications, which give us multiple opportunities to explode our capacities to the limit.

In a nutshell, working as an illustrator would be the coolest thing I can image, but it is far away from reality, because, to find the appropriate job opportunity it is quite difficult, the area is full with people who have been working there for quite a long time, and incorporate new people is way too difficult because new people do not have the experience of those who have worked in the area for years. So, I can only dream about it for now, but maybe in a distant future, this might become more realistic than now.

Last term experiences

Though it was a short semester due to the many student's strike, it was a pretty interesting term. It was the first year we have covered something entirely different for us, because the previous years we only had focused on how Scenography is applied in the Theather area, though last term we were introduced on how Scenography could be incorporated into the Audiovisual area. The whole term was focused on this topic, which for me was the most interesting part, because this is the area which I would like to master in the future.

Last term was very demanding for us, even though we did not had classes regurlarly, there were lots of work to do, and texts to read. So I didn't had much time for me, my term was really plain in term of free times activities, the only thing I would like to highlight was that I started a  Smithery Course with an old friend of mine, this course was one day per week, and lasted for about 3 hours each class. It was a great course, so I continued on this new term. I have learn quite a lot.

Other aspect about last term, were some problems I had to face, as for example, I had some medical problems, which were really difficult to handle, I was not only diagnosed anemia, but also insulin resistance, this two illnesses have complicated my life quite a lot, in fact, due to this condition I have developed a sort of panic attacks which have forced me to take medications. Apart from this, the academic year was pretty cool.

Though my medical condition is not optimal, I am pretty happy about my life. Because of this condition, which most of the time is a little bit tiresome, have made my family and relatives closer to me, and my boyfriend as well, they are always looking after me, so I feel loved and lucky to have them with me. I really hope to have them with me in this new term.

With nothing further to add,
feel welcome to my blog.
